How much time do you waste with your insurance renewals?
Running around recently trying to sort out my dad's van insurance renewal was a faff and time consuming to say the least!
He had left it to the last minute. Asked me to help. He has just turned 80, so insurers were not keen on offering him affordable renewal terms. Last year, approx £600, renewal premium, approx £2,500!
"I do not want to pay that" He said, no surprise there, neither would I.
"My policy is up in two weeks time, I need to sort it by then" He added.
It is stating the bleeding obvious, if he had said about this situation when he had his renewal offer weeks previous it would have given us (I mean me) a lot more time to source an alternative, saving us both time.
Instead it was a lot of phone calls and web searching up against mother time.
Sorted it in the end, by the skin of our teeth. Very time consuming and frustrating.
Having constant reminders, in effect, an heads up that your insurance renewal is due will save time and money. Seems silly not to have some form of reminders, doesn't it?
Avoid the faff, save time, save money.
